I Speak English

Computer-based Curriculum

With more than 6,000 exercises, the I Speak English computer-based curriculum is a comprehensive language acquisition course organized into Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Series. Each series is composed of one or more units that may be purchased together or separately. The curriculum was designed by language educators for English as a Second Language (ESL), Limited English Proficient (LEP), Adult Basic Education (ABE), and Workplace Literacy programs. All lessons combine conversationally spoken text with full color graphics. A patented, voice-interactive sound mirror allows the learner to record his/her voice and compare it with the model speaker. Students are guided through lessons with on-screen tutorials, menus, and electronic bookmarks. The scope and sequence of the material is appropriate for students from zero through post-secondary English language proficiency. Upon conclusion of the program, the student will have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to independently pursue lifelong learning opportunities. Each unit includes a complete set of instruction manuals.
